A. Considering this is Jack's first Day at Waterloo Road, and the problem he was faced with was extreme, he does befriend Liberty. As they have previously been to Havelock. Others for now are unknown!
2. We saw a lot of tension between your character and new student 'Barry Barry', do you think Jack was right to attack Barry or should he not let him get the better of Jack?
A. Jack sticks up for himself. He was used to Barry in Havelock causing trouble, wheras most pupils in WR are scared of him and scared to talk back to him. Jack doesn't back down, doesn't let anyone get the better of him, so loves to get his hands stuck in. Confidence is key for Jack, and he probably should have done more to Barry but deep down Jack is more of a talker than a puncher.
3. How do you think your character was recieved by the public?
A. It's been just over 24 hours and the response for Jack has been incredible, I didn't expect that, no,no,no! Everyone seems to like him! They must have felt sorry for him more than anything though! It's been overwhelming so far, bit surreal but it's just the start!
4. We saw Jack and Liberty getting comfortable towards the end of Episode 11, do we see a romance blooming? Jiberty perhaps?
A. Jack and Liberty...Oh...I don't kiss and tell! There is a little flirting between the two and they are good friends.
5. Can you relate to Jack in any way?
A. Can I relate to Jack...No...Jack is sporty..."A Great Footballer" And the football scenes took me around 6-7 takes to get past. One guy who was told to stand and let me by...embarrassing. I think I kicked the ball at the camera once. Fantastic. Two left feet!
6. What was your first day on set like? We're you nervous, excited....?
A. I was beyond scared and nervous yes! First scene was with Carl Au, and he just swaggered down as if he was already in character so I assumed...great this guy is gonna be arrogant...turns out...Carl is the friendliest guy on the planet! Nothing compared to Barry. Carl and I have some great scenes together and most of them hard to do 'cause we would laugh constantly!
7. What was your favourite scene from Episode 11?
A. Favourite scene...Toilet scene with the bat. Carl and I just had the laughs, both trying to be in a serious state but just couldn't! Also having a bat and smashing things up was pretty awesome!
8. Thanks for agreeing to do the interview, just one last question, do you think Jack and Barry will ever become friends?
A. Oh no...don't think you could speak to a friend who shagged your mum again...ever!
Thank you to Taylor for agreeing to this interview, great guy! You can catch him on Waterloo road, Thursdays at 8p.m BBC1.
